About Ya Boy

Creative since birth… just took me a few years to be considered one professionally. The first phase of my career was seeped in account management — taught me everything I know about being a corporate warrior, but it was never me.

Midway through, I forged an outlet. My podcast, Tough To Say, became an arena of exploration. Self-published articles, monologues, an array of interviews from a myriad of creative and corporate disciplines. The stack of journals hosting my thoughts had found a forum, and that very forum is still proudly published on a weekly basis.

The pod provided a spark (reentering the consumer advertising space at JOAN Creative). The spark ignited a flame (10-month contract with the NBA) that lit the path. That illuminated path brought me to my true love: hoops, culture, and entertainment.

What a journey. Nowadays, I spend my time crafting for the Brooklyn Nets and other properties within the BSE Global portfolio. Some brand strategy, some copywriting, but always an idea to do things differently. Now that’s more like me.
